the wonders of Chinatown
Working in C-town* I have discovered something, and I will share this secret with you: If you speak Cantonese, everything is 20% less.Some specific benefits from working on Mott include free ring sizing, $35 for 1 hour massage** and $1 chocolate mousse at the bakery on the corner. But today I hit the jackpot!
You are probably familiar with the Chinatown bus and its inexpensive trips to exotic places like Boston and Virgina Beach, but did you know there is a Chinatown Limo service? A car is picking me up at work today to wisk me LaGuardia for $25, and picking me up at the airport (with a guy with a sign with my name on it!) and taking me to Brooklyn when I get back for $30 (for non-NYers, this can be a $50+ expense).
Perhaps I am excited about this bit of savings since there isnt much to get excited about my trip - I'm going to Charlotte.***

While there are no real draws to the city of Charlotte...unless you like Nascar, there is however very good shopping, and resteraunts. If you have the time visit 300 east for dinner (i recomend the sweet pot. ravioli), also very close to 300 east is one of my fav stores Paper Skyscraper...right up your alley i think. Go early for dinner and visit Paper Skyscraper. Maybe then you will see that Char-town has a little to offer...lol...:)Have fun in the Queen City. Believe me it will be much more exciting than your next plane ride destination!!

Sad, I missed Paper Skyscraper! I did go to a rather suave restaurant, Ziko, they made some stiff drinks.
